THE RESTAURANT

The Restaurant offers a very relaxed atmosphere, featuring the creations of Liam Finnegan, using where possible organic and local produce. Menus are seasonal, and the food, is contemporary brasserie style with a European influence. Welcome to The George Hotel Restaurant

We hope your dining experience with us is an enjoyable one. If you have any dietary requirements please let our service staff know. If you cannot find something suitable, or have dined with us on more than one occasion, please inform our waiting staff so we can organise something else for you.

At The George our focus is on sourcing fresh, local, Isle of Wight and English top grade ingredients and the best produce for you. Our meat is sourced from local award winning suppliers. Our beef is mostly Aberdeen Angus, from Mottistone Farm. Our poultry is free range from Highview Farm in Newport and lamb is from Dunsbury Farm.

Our fish and shellfish are sourced from local suppliers when possible. Bill Attree supplies us with the freshest, Island line-caught seabass. Our shellfish is sourced from Freshwater Bay and our oysters are from Carlingford Lough in Ireland. Our other fish supplier is Phil Bonditch of Taunton who buys direct from Brixham Fish Market.

The Georges Cheeseboard is a showcase of the finest British Cheeses, varying from mild to strong.
