BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS

7 comfortable bedrooms await; 2 king-size master bedrooms (one of which has a walk-in wardrobe), 4 double bedrooms and one twin bedroom. All bedrooms are located on the First Floor and have ensuite bathrooms with showers and WC, with the exception of the twin bedroom, which is serviced by the large family bathroom that is directly next door, with a walk-in double shower.

RECEPTION ROOMS

The layout of Freshwater House really encourages groups to come together into the central entertaining space of the Drawing Room. This large vaulted ceilinged space with exposed brick work, soft down lighting and deep oversized sofas, centres around a cosy remote-controlled gas fireplace, and adjoins to a private bar.  The room opens to the sundeck through French doors. Here you will find more outside dining facilities, perfect for BBQs.

The Dining Room has seating for 16 people. Above the large wooden dining table, three over-sized aluminium ship lamps create quite a statement. A fabulous place to settle in for the evening. The Snug opens up off the Dining Room, complete with laid-back seating, 74” TV and is ideal for entertaining groups of children whilst still having them within earshot. There is a fully-equipped serving area at one end of the dining room with wine fridges.

KITCHEN AND UTILITY ROOM

Freshwater House provides a modern, well-equipped kitchen. Built around the grey centre island, it includes two built in Gaggenau ovens and a large Gaggenau hob. There is also plenty of fridge and freezer space, and a champagne and wine cooler fridge for the important stuff! A Quooker tap provides instant boiling water and purified cold drinking water. Within the ground floor Utility Room, you’ll find the  washing machine and tumble drier with drying racks and plenty of hanging space.

OUTSIDE

The outside space is fully enclosed with two solid 6’ gates allowing parents to relax, safe in the knowledge that the children and dogs can’t get very far from the roost. The garden is comprised of 3 main areas; the upper sun deck, the lower dining terrace with BBQ and a small grassed lawn.

The property offers generous off road parking for at least 6 cars, ideal for large groups, as well as two electric car charging points.

It’s location in Freshwater Village, West Wight, just 3 miles away from The George Hotel in Yarmouth, has been named “one of the coolest places to move to in the UK” according to The Times list 2022. Southerly, is just a stone’s throw away from the spectacular Freshwater Bay, easily recognised by its chalk cliffs and its imposing “Stag” and “Mermaid” rocks that sit on the edge of the coast, a photographer’s dream. Its stunning pebble beach is a popular spot all year round for swimming, walking and boating. Freshwater is a key destination for any visit to the Isle of Wight, categorised as “for the new Sloane Rangers”, the Times announced the PO40 postcode, otherwise known as Freshwater among the trendiest places to be in the country. It offers a wide range of activities and opportunities for all ages. Tennyson down monument is a lovely walk to one of the highest vantage points on the island. Freshwater also offers a fantastic seaside links-style 18-hole golf course with spectacular views of the Solent and a friendly, relaxed club house. Northerly, there is the beautiful sandy Colwell bay and Totland bay, both ideal for swimming and water sports.
