Waiting & Bar Staff

We have an opportunity for keen, self-starters to become a part of the Hotel team, as Waiting Team Members working primarily within our family friendly Conservatory. The customer experience is our main focus and we ensure that each and every guest has an intimate service with a guaranteed smile.

A strong background within the industry isn’t necessarily what we’re looking for, although we are very open to anyone with some fine dining, high end experience however, we’re more about the attentive service you can provide and your overall persona and passion to gain some fantastic experience to start your career.

There is room for you to progress into potentially working within our Isla’s Restaurant as well, if you show great enthusiasm and a real understanding of our standards of service and brand as a whole. Devotion will take you far and we want to see that oozing from you.

Flexibility is the key to this role, hours will be at a peak throughout the Summer and therefore you may be required to fill in gaps as and when necessary. Ideally, due to the shift patterns, you will either live locally or have your own transport however, this isn’t essential for a super star!

Shifts will vary with the Breakfast / Lunch Service starting at 7am until 3pm, Monday to Friday and 7:30 / 8:30am until 3 / 4pm over the weekends. Dinner service will be from 3pm until roughly 11pm. Split shifts will be at a minimum but may be required from time to time.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to progress their skills and experience within Hospitality, working within a reputable Hotel in a breath-taking location. Presentation is vital – we will provide you with an apron and tie however, you must look well-groomed and smart at all times.

With events taking place all year round, there could also be the potential for you to become a permanent member of the team if you have had a successful season and wish to stay on (providing the requirement is there within the Hotel).

At present, we are looking for a talented Pastry Chef to join our team. Working within a brigade of 8, you will be responsible for organising and producing mise en place for our Conservatory (brasserie style) menu and depending on experience may also be involved in our fine dining operation, Isla’s. You will also be required to work closely with the Head Chef and take control of the kitchen in his absence.

We are looking for a Pastry Chef who has previous experience within a similar environment and who is a fluent English speaker. Accommodation may be available for the right candidate.

The restaurant is open Monday to Sunday, breakfast, lunch and dinner and also serves afternoon teas all year round, with some closure in January each year for refurbishment.

You will work 5 days out of 7, with 28 days holiday entitlement. We will provide your meal on duty. You will be offered a competitive salary and in addition an equal part share of all gratuities.
