Freshwater Bay Golf Club

Freshwater Bay golf course is one of the most spectacular courses in the country and is set on the downlands overlooking the English Channel.  This seaside links style course is 5,725 yards long, par 69 which provides a challenge for golfers of all abilities.

It you like a leisurely game of golf in the midst of beautiful coastal scenery, then you will really enjoy the 18-hole course at Freshwater Bay.

Residents of The George are very welcome and reasonable rates are provided.  It’s a private club with a great bar and catering facilities.  The clubhouse is friendly and relaxed and members are always available to provide advice on weather and playing conditions.

Completely delicious!

We visited the George for the second time this weekend and can’t rave enough about the improvements. We were given a light and airy room with a balcony overlooking the sea, comfy bed, luxury bathroom with huge shower and super clean.

Completely delicious! We visited the George for the second time this weekend and can’t rave enough about the improvements. We were given a light and airy room with a balcony overlooking the sea, comfy bed, luxury bathroom with huge shower and super clean. The best surprise was the improvement in the food, there’s a new chef and you could really tell. I ate the smoked haddock carpaccio with pea to start, fresh, tangy and simply delicious! I ate muscles and spinach gratin, also delicious! However the truffle chips were worth visiting for alone, I’ll be back for them!

I’m so glad we stopped here for lunch, as it is a truly stunning space. The most relaxing setting to rejuvenate on our day-trip, made all the more wonderful with delightful staff and scrumptious food.

We all had the roast of the day, it was delicious and well presented. The wine was very good too ! Will be returning very soon.
